Developed for Arque Systems in collaboration with Aachen-based agency Custom Organisation, translating cutting-edge quantum computing components into a coherent product design that tells the visual story of the technology at its core. Built at the forefront of quantum research at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany.
At Arque Systems’ innovation campus in Jülich, Germany, a unique quantum computer is being developed at the forefront of technological research. A visit to the facility provided firsthand insights into the technology, the engineering, and the people shaping its future.
Golden Core Technology as a design principle: the cryostat, the hidden heart of the quantum computer, was brought to the surface through a gold exterior and a circular ventilation structure inspired by its stacked-disc geometry.
The perforated pattern visualizes the millions of qubits in motion inside the machine’s core, translating invisible computation into a tangible design language.
At the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), Arque Systems’ first quantum computer is currently being installed according to the product design I developed for this project, moving from concept to reality!
